Fueling the Future Dinner & Silent Auction
Join us this August for the annual Fueling the Future Fundraiser Garden Bazaar Party and Silent Auction, an evening dedicated to helping children in Tulare County who face food insecurity. This event benefits the Smartpacks Program at Foodlink for Tulare County, which provides weekend meal kits to children who might otherwise go without food when school meals are unavailable.
Currently, the Smartpacks program serves over 900 children every week across Tulare County. Yet the need is far greater. More than 30,000 children in our region experience hunger, and Tulare County ranks 57th out of 58 counties in California for child food security.
Local statistics highlight the urgency of this work:
- 34.5% of children experience food insecurity
- 40.7% of children live in poverty
To meet this need, we are working to expand the Smartpacks program from 10 schools to 28 schools, focusing especially on rural communities where access to affordable, healthy food is limited. Our goal is to raise $110,000 to support schools that currently lack a fiscal sponsor.

Our online auction will run during the first week of August, giving supporters the opportunity to bid on exciting items and experiences from anywhere while helping feed children in our community.
